  • With Youth Challenge International, in the projects Costa Rica 1 and 2 during 1991, 1992 and 1993 With the Program Youth Challenge International during the year of 1992- 93 the following projects were made:
  • Construction of a scholastic dining room and accomplishment of a program of primary health in the community of Bay of Uvita, Puntarenas. With this project the school describes to receive an subsidy to feed the children during the lunches
  • Construction of two classrooms in the community of Llano Bonito of Guatuzo, Alajuela. The community of Llano Bonito is a new establishment of farmers of approximately 70 families.
  • Identification of patients with cataracts in remote areas and aid to program SEE International in the conduction of oftálmicas surgeries, Lemon. or passing laying of a bridge of suspension to communicate the communities, Canalete, Upala.
  • Reconstruction of a building in Canaletee of Upala. This multi will be used like center – uses, specially to remove benefit from the great affluence of tourists who journey by the zone.
  • Construction of a center of work for the association of women craftswomen in Hojancha, Guanacaste
  • Construction of a center of work and training for the group of local women in Katira de Guatuzo
  • Continuation of the ecoturistic initiative of the previous year in Santa Elena, Monteverde; constructing to footpaths and viewpoints; conduction of surveys of impact of the community on the tourism.
  • Trip of 10 days through the rain forest gathering information of species of animals and vegetation, Las Juntas de Abangares, Guanacaste.
  • Harvesting of information on plants, trees and birds of the rainy forest in coordination with the Institute of Herbology of the National Museum. Tapantí, Cartago.
  • In the project Youth Challenge during 1991 and 1992 with the support of thirteen governmental agencies, twenty one Costa Rican companies, seventy and three Canadian companies, fifteen Australians, eight Guyana’s companies and numerous local communities. Our organization executed fifteen projects valued in more than 103 million colons with a real cost of 36 million colons. Involving seventy and seven originating volunteers of Costa Rica, Canada, Guyana, Australia, and Russia during three months, supported by a team of voluntary leaders, twenty-five of complete time and twenty-five specialized experts, Canadian companies of engineering, and Costa Rican professionals in aerial of:
  • Construction, Biology, forest engineering, planners of parks, sociologists, right and others.
  • With the project Youth Challenge International, and the financing of the Canadian Program of Cooperation, we organized and we executed the construction of a center of health in the Indigenous Reserve Cabécar in Bajo Chirripó, Limón. In addition, a program of primary health was implemented and monthly visits of a doctor of the Ministry of Health settled down.
  • Establishment of the Reserve of the Cloud Forest of Santa Elena, ecoturístic reserve operated by the community of Santa Elena. The objectives to develop the Reserve were the following ones: generation of works, conservation of the forest, production of a direct entrance on the part of the tourism for members of the community, generation of bottoms for environmental education in the zone.
  • The potable water systems in Boca Brava and Guarumal, Sierpe Térraba, Puntarenas. In addition, the conduction of health programs, attendance in the investigation of a scientific project to determine the sustainability of the forest of mangle, construction of scholastic dining rooms.
  • Construction of a center multi – uses in the Community of Cristo Rey, San Pedro de Perez Zeledón. Also a program of primary health in the zone was carried out.
  • Construction of a park of games in the marginal community of Playa Hermosa,  Puntarenas. Design and was constructed the park. Also it was made a census and a program of desparacitation in all the community.
  • Identification and surgery of cataracts, Golfito, Puntarenas and communities of the south of Costa Rica. With program SEE International potential patients identified themselves to be taken part in the Hospital of Golfito. With the conclusion of this project 101 operations in a lapse of four weeks were completed.
  • Construction of a center of work for women in San Vito, Alto La Union. Here multi was constructed to a center – uses in the Indigenous Reserve Guaymi. Also a program of primary education in the zone was implemented.
  • Program of handling and recycling of remainders and development of a program of recreation in the Protected workshop, Alajuela.
  • Repair of the Clinic in Playa Ostional, Guanacaste Repair of the clinic, construction of the ceiling of the medical center, repair of the house of the teacher of the zone and program of primary health.
  • Prevention of the erosion and development of agriculture in San Ramon de Tres Ríos. Construction of terraces in a portion of earth that had suffered of strong erosion.
  • Study of the precipitation in the Reserve of Monteverde. Originating samples of the clouds were collected water that happen through the zone. Chemistries and polluting agents were identified.
  • San Luis, Arenal lake ground: Acuacultura. A study of plankton was conducted, it was attended the fishing workings and windows were repaired and the local school was painted.
  • Marine Study in Punta Moralesl, Puntarenas. Study of the contamination in the tides and contamination by quimicals products in the Gulf of Nicoya. Study of crocodiles, repair of the facilities of the laboratory, repair of the school of the locality, cleaning of the beach and installation of latrines.
  • Attendance to fishshops, Macho River, Alajuela. Capture and identification of butterflies, colecting of plants for reproduction in vitro, captures, identification and liberation of small rodents, repair of the ceiling and flat sky of the school of the locality.
  • With Youth Service International, in the selection of volunteers and coordination of projects in Costa Rica, 1991
  • With the participation of these organizations we managed to construct the facilities for the national young people in its investigations, and the volunteers who get to take care of protection of the green turtle marine.
  • Infrastructure Preparation of the Park Nacional Tortuguero: when to detect evident necessity of facilities minimum for volunteers, which the green turtle and those take care of that they work in scientific investigation, to have a place where to stay and sanitary services we coordinated with the Caribbean Conservation Corporation (C.C.C.) the Youthful group voluntary Venturer’s Initiative of the United States, and with the Direction of Parks or the accomplishment of projects of volunteering with communities in Tortuguero (construction of shelter and latrines). in Cariarí Park in Lemon (inventory of flora and fauna, repair of facilities, project of restoration of the lagoon), in Rincon de Osar, Puntarenas (reforestation, construction of recreational facilities for children, basic education in health) in Lomas de Barbudal, Bagaces (course of forest fire prevention)
